A MASN programming note

If you want to hear more about the Ravens' come-from-behind win over the Cardinals, the Redskins' shutout loss to the Bills and much more, tune into MASN Monday from 5:30-7 p.m. as MASNsports.com's Roch Kubatko and I team up to put a new spin on "The Mid-Atlantic Sports Report."

I'm pumped up for the new format which will air every Monday, Wednesday and Friday throughout the baseball offseason. It all starts this week.

Tom Davis, Phil Wood, Mel Antonen and Dave Johnson will still bring you all your latest Major League Baseball, Orioles, and Nationals news on the show every Tuesday and Thursday.

Roch and I have done bits of TV together over the years, and have always lobbied to be on the air together. As good friends, we're not afraid to have fun with one another, or at each other's expense. I'm sure our opinions will differ on many topics, but we both will look forward to the discussions.

It's a great chance for us to talk about all topics in the world of sports, and the viewers will have a chance to chime in as well. We'll break down the Ravens and Redskins each week and dive into the region's collegiate sports. If you're a college basketball fan, we'll have live look-ins leading up to the area's biggest games aired on MASN, including Georgetown and George Mason hoops.

Baseball, of course, will always be a topic with Roch and me, but we'll also talk a little Capitals, Wizards and whatever team is creating headlines in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C., area.

Each show we'll be joined by special guests ranging from athletes and coaches to various members of the local media.

It'll be a great opportunity for you social media junkies to have your opinions heard. Roch and I will monitor Twitter as well as both of our MASNsports.com blogs for comments to be read and discussed on the air. We'll also give you choices of topics you'd like us to discuss. You can text in your vote. The topic with the most votes will be covered on the show.

I hope you will join us for our first show today at 5:30 p.m. on MASN. Thanks for the support!
